Mix Tape: Side A (2/12/08)

ipv-mixtape.jpg

I got this idea from the blog Journal of Weights and Measures. I guess people no longer exchange these things and now pick them up from blogs and add them to their itunes. I sound like an old timer, but oh how things have changed. I remember the first mix tape I got from a girl I met on a Sunny Day Real Estate message board who was from the east coast. I was browsing the message board on my early 90’s Acer computer with a dial-up modem and AOL 2.0. I guess this new way saves me the time of actually making the tape and puts that burden on you.

Side One:

Am/Fm – It Fell Out of My Head

The National – Theory of the Crows

Secret Stars – RPMs

Promise Ring – All of Our Everythings

Tom Waits – Come On Up to the House

Will Oldham and Johnny Cash – I See a Darkness

Sunny Day Real Estate – Every Shinning Time You Arrive

Red House Painters – Japanese to English

Graham Nash – Simple Man

Unwound – Corpse Pose

Shudder To Think – Shake Your Halo Down
