Scott Chaplain is a comedian and writer residing in Brooklyn, New York. He first began doing stand-up at the age of 17, and now at the age of 25 is a rising star on the New York comedy scene. His brutal, straightforward, and almost frightening honesty can only be topped by the totality of humor his act is capable of. He is currently a regular at clubs in New York City, was recently featured at the New York Comedy Festival, and finds himself as our guest today in this week’s version of 10 Questions. Recently labeled a “big name talent” by the New York Times, Jeff Lawrence is a prototypical native New Yorker, born and raised in Queens. He was once a rock singer who has appeared on MTV Europe, and with Bob Dylan as a member of his entourage at the Grammy Awards, Whether he’s bashing religion, debunking gay stereotypes or suing his landlord in Chinatown, he always leaves audiences wanting more. Jeff has appeared on the front pages of Wall Street Journal as well as the Tampa Bay Times, and has been heard on Playboy Radio talking sports, the Dr. Fritz Show in addition to college radio stations all across the United States. He is the founder of Laughing Buddha Comedy; recognized as creating the very best showcases, classes, and mics for aspiring comedians in New York City and rated as a top 10 comedy spot in the NYC by USA Today. He is also a regular at NYC’s “Laughter in the Park”, and has his own show at The Stand Comedy Club. Festivals he has participated in include The NY Comedy Festival, The NY Underground Comedy Festival, March Madness at Caroline’s and Laughing Devil. He has headlined internationally in numerous cities including Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Berlin, India, and the Greek Islands. After beginning his entertainment career as a rock singer, Jeff migrated to the stage playing Ernest Hemingway in the musical “Scott and Zelda” at the Wings Theater. As a musician, Jeff has recorded and performed with members of The Cult and Buckcherry, released records, charted on radio, and toured internationally. He is openly gay, single, and more than happy to tell you he doesn’t have time to look for a partner, which is fine with us because he was able to make time to be our guest today in 10 questions. Brett Druck is an American comedian and and writer known for his dry wit and sharp tongue. Brett’s jokes have been shared millions of times across the web. The first ever winner of The Martin Grant, he has been featured in countless comedy festivals including TBS’s Just for Laughs Chicago, the Charleston Comedy Festival, and as a finalist in The Andy Kaufman Award. Brett has been heard on Raw Dog Sirius XM Radio and mentioned in Rolling Stone for his advocacy to credit comedians and artists that have been plagiarized for profit. Brett is also a cast member of on Laughs TV Show and has been featured on 12 episodes, and we are delighted to have Brett Druck as our guest today in 10 questions.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Brendan Eyre has been doing comedy for a little over six years. For the last five, he’s been in New York City honing his chops at some of the finest clubs in the country. He co-hosts the “Rad Dudecast” podcast with Greg Stone and Anthony DeVito, and in 2014 he was one of the New Faces of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. He recently appeared on the late-night Fox News program “Red Eye with Tom Shillue”, and this Spring he opened up for Bob Saget at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square. 7 Questions with Joe Zimmerman

In 2013 comedian Joe Zimmerman made his television debut on John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show on Comedy Central, and since has appeared on Conan, The Late Late Show, Season 8 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Nickelodeon, and recorded a Comedy Central Half Hour Special. He was also chosen as one of the New Faces at Just For Laughs Montreal, where he was positively reviewed by The Spit Take and Time Out NY. In 2014, he recorded his debut album Smiling at Wolves which reached #2 on iTunes, and Buzzfeednamed him a “comedian you should be paying attention to,” saying “The combination of Joe’s calming vocalization and inventive writing is a thing of magic.” Praised for an accessible style pairing absurdism with observational and autobiographical material, Joe is an original member of the Beards of Comedy, which toured from 2008 to 2012 and released two albums – 2011’s Cardio Mix and 2009’s Comedy for People. Based out of New York City, Joe is currently touring the country with his new hour. He hosts a popular science podcast called Universe City which comes out every Tuesday, as well as a monthly show at Union Hall in Brooklyn called “Deeperness”.
